Good fishing guides and gear-boaters are the most critical part of our business and sometimes hard to find. Needed are employees with excellent work ethics, good people skills, and the ability to handle everything Mother Nature can throw at you, plus have the ability to catch trout. Each year, Brandon, Joe and Chris, volunteer their time and support along with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc., to help us take wounded soldiers down the Smith River. PRO Outfitters is recruiting guides, cooks, gear-boaters and shop assistants. PRO operates a lodge on the North Fork of the Blackfoot; an upland game bird hunting camp east of the Great Falls; and also guides on the Missouri, Smith and Blackfoot rivers. All interested soldiers will be given serious consideration.

Joe Sowerby

Montana Fly Fishing Connection/Smith River Fishing, is owned and operated by Joe Sowerby. Although Joe has a solid team of guides and gear-boaters, he may have some opportunities throughout the season for additional guides and gear-boaters on the Smith River, and guides on the Blackfoot, Bitterroot, Clark Fork and Missouri rivers as well. Joe may also need assistance around the shop.

Chris Strainer

Chris Strainer is the owner of Cross Currents Fly Shop in Helena and Craig, Montana. Cross Currents is an Orvis Endorsed Fly Shop with a vibrant guide business on the Missouri River. Cross Currents will be looking for potential guides, shop assistance as well as shuttle drivers. Chris is an accomplished guide and fisherman as well as a strong supporter of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.
