For me, Montana has always been a place of blue sky and empty spaces. The Sharptail Lodge has plenty of both in a setting that is quintessential Montana. The ranch rests on the foothills of the Little Belt mountains where you can view the prairie of central Montana yawning its way to Canada. There are number of streams flourishing with trout that continue to go unnoticed. For many of us, solitude is still an intrinsic part of fly fishing. The streams we fish from the Sharptail Lodge put an emphasis on both catching fish and solitude. The ideal rods for these small streams would be a three to five weight depending on stream size and your preference.

The accommodations are unique, tasteful and are enveloped by Montana's Big Sky. You can't see the end of the earth from the Sharptail but it comes mighty close. Under the watchful eyes of Brandon Boedecker and his wife Katie they have created Montana's most desirable Yurt Village. Each Yurt has it owns shower, bathroom, two queen sized beds, and gas fire place. Each yurt offers space, luxury and privacy. Meals are served in Yurt Central which features a commercial kitchen, a large dining area as well as well a lounge and stocked bar. Ah, Sweet Wilderness.
